The companies forming part of Animex Holding, a leading meat producer in Poland, belonging to the European group of Morliny Foods, have announced the decision to sell part of their operations related to processing of goose. This step is part of a broad specialization plan for the production facilities owned by the group and its concentration on areas of strategic significance, such as breeding and production of pork and poultry, as well as management of by-products.

The processing of geese, which has so far been an addition to the Animex offer, has been strengthening the company’s portfolio for years. However, considering the deepening professionalization of this market alongside the need to concentrate the company’s resources on the key areas of its business, a decision was made to optimize the company’s portfolio.

On Friday, May 30th, 2025, the companies sold the organized part of the enterprise of Cracow Division, which consists primarily of a feather processing plant in Dobczyce, to CEDROB S.A. The transaction also included two hatcheries in Bielsk Podlaski and Siemiatycze, used for hatching goslings, and a line of equipment for slaughter of goose, which recently operated in the facility in Iława. The employees from the Division in Cracow and Hatcheries will be employed by a new employer.

“The decision on the sale of the goose processing business comes from our desire to focus on areas in which we see the potential for development and the possibility of increasing operational efficiency. We believe that the strategic partner will take over this business, ensuring its further dynamic development” – stresses Jacek Dziełak, President of Animex Holding Management Board.

The sale of the goose segment is conducted with full respect for all existing employees and trading partners, and the implemented process ensures the stability and continuity of the operation of other plants owned by the Animex Holding group. The company remains true to its values by investing in sustainable technologies and developing local relations, which allows it to build a strong position both in the domestic and foreign markets.
