The Agribusiness Financing Forum hosted by Polish Bank Association (ZBP), whose industry partner was Smithfield Polska, took place on March 27-28, 2024, in Warsaw. The event gathered key representatives of the agri-food and banking sector and created a space for discussion about cooperation and innovative solutions.

The Agribusiness Financing Forum is aimed at sharing knowledge, experience and ideas between leaders and experts related to the broadly understood agri-food, financial, and technological sector. The Conference is held in a „roundtable” formula, during which the participants try to create the space for a constructive dialogue, inspiring discussions, and joint search for innovative solutions, i.e. within ESG.

At such an important meeting, Smithfield Polska’s voice, which is the leader of sustainable changes in the agri-food sector, could not be missing. The company has for years based its strategy on the concept “from farm to fork”. Representatives of Smithfield Polska were present during the Forum to share their experiences and perspectives on the challenges awaiting the food sector in Poland and European Union.

– The source of Smithfield Polska’s success is permanent cooperation with native farmers. Participation in the discussion about the future of the sector in which we are the leader was obvious for us. We are aware of the role we play play in forming of the Polish agri-food sector, thus as a responsible participant of the market, we happily share our experiences and ideas for innovations in the face of continuous transformation of Polish agriculture – said Łukasz Dominiak, PR & government relations director of Smithfield Polska.

Under the attendance in the Agribusiness Financing Forum, the representative of Smithfield Polska presented the group’s commitment in the performance of sustainable development strategy and selected projects, among others within environmental protection.
