Information on the conclusion of a co-administration agreement

Until previously, each of the companies belonging to the Smithfield Polska Group independently administered the personal data of its employees, clients and contractors, as well as took care of their safety. However, due to the change in regulations and the entry into force of the GDPR, they decided to join forces and create common rules for the protection and processing of personal data. And all this in order to unify the rules for the processing of personal data, as well as to increase their security.

On 18 May 2018 companies belonging to the Smithfield Polska Group (list of joint administrators of personal data belonging to the Smithfield Polska Group ) concluded an agreement in which they decided to jointly determine the purposes and methods of processing personal data in their possession. Thus, they became Joint Administrators of personal data collected and processed by each company. The main objective of this agreement was to regulate exhaustively and comprehensively the obligations of the joint administators both in the internal sphere – towards each other and in external relations – in relation to persons whose data is processed, and supervisory authorities. Thanks to this, the personal data protection policy of the Smithfield Polska Group can become even more transparent and effective.
